Sacramento Colon hydrotherapy at Integrative Wellness Center is a natural method of cleansing the colon using a soothing flow of warm, sterilized and purified water instilled gently into the colon. This procedure cleans out fecal matter.
A cleansed colon is better able to do its job of moving food through the digestive system, while absorbing vital nutrients, proteins, water and cell salts back into the bloodstream.
During your session, you will be guided by a skilled colon hydrotherapist, certified through the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT). Colon Hydrotherapy, also known as colon irrigation or colonics, at Integrative Wellness Center, cleanses the colon or large intestine of accumulated fecal matter.
The gentle infusion of warm water introduced into the colon stimulates peristalisis and hydrates the colon. The colon is a 4-layer muscle and colon hydrotherapy helps to stimulate and exercise this muscle. Like any muscle, if it is not toned and working efficiently, it will become sluggish and not work optimally. If you are not eliminating about 18 inches at least once per day, then your colon is not working efficiently and you may be constipated. Fecal matter that remains too long in the intestines feed harmful bacteria causing putrefaction and fermentation, which can cause symptoms such as gas, bloating, headaches, fatigue and skin problems, to name a few.
The first visit includes your colon hydrotherapy session and will last approximately 60 minutes. It consists of a review of your health history and a thorough explanation of the process. You will have the opportunity to discuss your health concerns and goals and you will receive education and information on the digestive system, how the colon works, nutrition, and a personalized assessment to outline your cleanse protocol.
